Privacy policy

Bento by Moonlight ("the game") is made by Blaikafi. This policy explains what information the game uses and why. The short version: the game has no accounts, and we don't collect or sell your personal information ourselves. Ads in the game are provided by Google, who may collect some information as described below.

Information the game keeps on your device

Your progress (levels, stars, coins, koban, items and settings) is saved on your iPhone or iPad. It never leaves your device, except for the iCloud backup described below.

iCloud backup

If you are signed in to iCloud, the game keeps a copy of your progress in your own iCloud account, so it comes back if you reinstall the game or move to a new device. This copy is stored by Apple in your account. We can't see it or access it. You can remove it at any time with Settings → Reset progress in the game, or by turning off iCloud for the game in your device settings.

Purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the game only which item you bought, so it can deliver it.

Advertising

The game shows optional video ads, which you choose to watch for in-game rewards. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use information such as:

• your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking when the game asks),
• your IP address and approximate location derived from it,
• information about your device and how you interact with the ads,
• diagnostic data about ad performance.

Google uses this to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can change that choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy in the game.

When the game asks whether it may track you, it uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are not personalised using your advertising identifier. You can change this at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, the game schedules notifications on your device (for example, when your onigiri have refilled). They are created on your device. No information is sent to us to do this.

Children

Bento by Moonlight is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
